Robert B Thomas Veterans of Foreign War Post 1098 program for Veterans to train Service Dogs, for free. This program was started by, then Commander Thanita Spencer. She had knowledge of Jackie Brannon’s program Paws for Patriots, which was run by Tami Chaky, and discontinued after only a few years. Paws for Patriots helped at least 24 Veterans with Service Dogs, trained by inmates. Tami, Tara, and John wanted to give something back to the people who sacrifice so much.

Forecaster’s Enterprise Trainers teach Veterans how to train their dogs as Service Dogs. Classes start in September at the VFW in Krebs, for free. CGC is completed before Christmas break.

Forecaster’s Enterprise Trainer teach Veterans how to train their Service Dogs for tasks and public access. Service dogs must have assigned tasks for whatever their Handler needs. Tasks could be PTSD, Mobility/Balance, Retrieving, Hearing Assistance, and/or anything to help a Veteran/Handler with their normal lives. Following task training, dogs can be taken out in public with vests that state Service Dog in Training. Dogs must maintain control with people and/or other animals.
This Second part of training starts in January through May at Chaky Ranch for VFW Post 1098.

Trainer Tara Roberts: I am a 911 Communications Officer for the past 10 years. I have trained several dogs since I was a young child. I have only put a CD title on 1 dog, but I have trained in Novice, Open, Confirmation, a little bit of Agility, and have been doing Minimum Training Task and PAT testing for Paws for Patriots, a JBCC program.

I have been the Pastor of Fairview Cowboy Church since 2006, and previously pastored Trinity Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia prior to being moved by God to Oklahoma. I have worked as a hospice chaplain, and emergency director, as well as an EMT, and firefighter. I have 20+ years of experience in Christian Counseling and dealing with and helping others through the trying times in their lives.
